Mermaid drawing from imagination in my sketchbook: a fantasy mermaid with a sea-creature crown, long flowing hair, seashells and a scaly tail, sketched and shaded with a mechanical pencil. Sped-up pencil drawing with calm music, no talking.

Fantasy Mermaid Pencil Drawing from Imagination — Marah Maitale Art

A mermaid straight from imagination: on her head sits a crown shaped like a sea creature with spiky fins and its own eye, her long hair flows sideways as if caught in a current, and her scaly tail curls around beneath her. Little bubbles and sea flowers float through the water around her.

It starts as a very light, loose sketch to find the pose. Then a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil takes over: first the face, the seashell top and the bubbles, then the flowing hair and the fins, the rows of scales on the tail, and finally the darker shading on the crown and the little flowers around her.

The video is sped up, so you see the whole mermaid appear in about seven minutes, with calm music and no talking. Like fantasy creatures? Watch the octopus mermaid in ballpoint pen or the fairy girl pencil drawing, or browse more sketchbook drawings.
