Woman with Flowers in Her Hair, Drawn in Pencil

5 min · real-time drawing, no talking · watch on YouTube

Drawing a woman with flowers in her hair in my sketchbook with graphite pencil – a floral profile portrait from imagination, with daisies, lilies and big petals around her. No talking, just the drawing process with calm music.

Woman with Flowers in Her Hair, Drawn in Pencil — Marah Maitale Art

A dreamy portrait from imagination: a woman seen in profile, eyes closed and smiling softly, with one big blossom in her hair. Daisies, lilies, poppies and little buds grow around her, and large curved petals fill the bottom of the page, as if she rises out of a flower, and small ornamental sprigs frame the corners of the page.

Everything is drawn in graphite in a hardbound Canson sketchbook with a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil, softened with blending stumps and a kneaded eraser. The video follows the drawing from the first light lines to the final shading.

There is no voice-over, only the drawing process and calm music. There is also a short version of this drawing, and more pencil art in the sketchbook drawings.
