A whole little world inside a glass ball: a cabin by the water, a rocky mountain covered in trees and a sky full of clouds, with the ball resting on a bed of round stones, drawn on a page of my Canson sketchbook.

It starts with one simple circle and a horizon line, then the mountain, the cabin and the stones underneath. With a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil the graphite is built up in layers: short strokes for the trees, wavy lines for the clouds and the water, and darker shading along the edge of the glass to make it look round. Blending stumps soften the shadows and a kneaded eraser brings back the light on the glass.

There is no voice-over, only calm music, so you can draw along at your own pace or simply watch the little landscape appear. More pencil art is in the sketchbook drawings.
