Marjolein Bastin Coloring Book Color Along: Fall Leaves — Marah Maitale Art

This page comes from the Posh Adult Coloring Book: Inspired by Nature by the Dutch nature artist Marjolein Bastin. It shows a quiet autumn corner: dry leaves and a twig lying against an old stone wall, with one leaf that has already turned bright red. Her line work is delicate and realistic, which makes it a lovely book for practicing soft, natural shading.

Everything is colored with Faber-Castell Classic Colour colored pencils. The stones come first, in light ochre and warm brown with grey in the shadows, so the leaves stand out against them. The dry leaves get golden yellows and browns, and the red leaf is built up slowly: first light pink and grey for the veins and spots, then deeper reds and orange on top. The pencil numbers are listed in the video description on YouTube.

The coloring is sped up into about 23 minutes, with calm music and no talking, so you can color along at your own pace with your own copy of the book or simply relax and watch.

Another autumn page: the autumn forest from Tomislav Tomić's Dromenvanger. More colored pages are in the adult coloring pages collection.
