An Easter egg drawing in my sketchbook: a big egg framed by a wreath of flowers, leaves and little stars, sketched in graphite pencil, blended and then darkened with a mechanical pencil. No talking, just the drawing process with calm music.

An Easter drawing for spring: a big egg decorated with little stars and dots, sitting in a full wreath of blossoms, leaves, berries and curling stems. Everything is drawn in graphite pencil on one page of a Canson hardbound sketchbook.
It starts with a light oval for the egg. Then the flowers grow along the bottom, the leaves and buds climb up both sides, and the stars and dots fill the egg. A blending stump softens the shading, and in the last part a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil darkens the outlines and the centers of the flowers so the wreath stands out against the white page.
There is no voice-over, only the drawing process and calm music, so it is easy to draw along at your own pace, as an Easter card idea or as relaxing sketchbook practice. More spring drawings: Dutch clogs with tulips, a woman with flowers, or browse all sketchbook drawings.
