Surreal Woman Portrait Drawing in Pencil, from Imagination

6 min · real-time drawing, no talking · watch on YouTube

Surreal woman portrait drawing in pencil: a young woman looks back over her shoulder, surrounded by long wavy lines with eye-like circles and thin branches. Drawn from imagination in my sketchbook with a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil, blending stumps and a kneaded eraser. Sped up, calm music, no talking.

A portrait from imagination with a surreal twist: a young woman with short, softly shaded hair turns her head and looks back over her shoulder. Long wavy lines curl around her, dotted with round, eye-like circles, and thin branches grow along the edges of the page.

Everything is drawn in graphite with a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil in a Canson sketchbook. Blending stumps soften the skin and hair, and a kneaded eraser lifts out the highlights on the face.

The video is sped up, so the whole drawing comes together in about six and a half minutes, with calm music and no talking. More pencil art in the sketchbook drawings.
