Rita Berman Coloring Book Color Along: Spring Tulips and Windmill

33 min · real-time drawing, no talking · watch on YouTube

Rita Berman coloring book color along: the spring tulip field with a windmill from "Mein Frühlingsspaziergang: Ausmalen und durchatmen" (My Spring Walk), colored with Koh-I-Noor Polycolor colored pencils and a white gel pen. Sped up, calm music, no talking.

This page comes from Mein Frühlingsspaziergang: Ausmalen und durchatmen (My Spring Walk: color and breathe), a German coloring book for adults by Rita Berman. It shows a Dutch spring landscape: a windmill and a small cottage on a green hill, a winding path, round spiral trees, rows of flowers in the distance and, in front, a whole field of big tulips with a few dragonflies flying between them. It was colored as a little tribute to the Netherlands, for the spring-in-September coloring tag.

Everything is colored with Koh-I-Noor Polycolor colored pencils. The tulips mix warm oranges, reds and pinks with cool blues, so the front of the page feels bright and lively, while the hills and trees use several layers of green to give depth. A soft blue sky keeps the background calm. At the end, a white gel pen adds the small dots and highlights on the tulips, the clouds and the dragonfly wings, and a white pencil softens a few transitions.

The video is sped up, so you can see the whole page come to life in about half an hour. There is no voice-over, only calm music, so you can color along at your own pace with your own book or simply relax and watch. The pencil codes are listed in the video description on YouTube.
