Portrait drawing in pencil and charcoal: a young man with short textured hair and a sharp hairline, a hoop earring and an open V-neck collar with a heart-shaped pendant, looking down. Drawn in my sketchbook with a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil and a Faber-Castell Pitt charcoal pencil, softened with blending stumps. Sped up, calm music, no talking.
A portrait in my sketchbook: a young man with short, textured hair and a sharp hairline, a hoop earring and an open V-neck collar with a heart-shaped pendant, his eyes looking down. The soft shading on the face and the strong shadows along the jaw and neck give the drawing a quiet, thoughtful mood.
The first lines and the light shading are made with a 0.7 mm mechanical pencil, and the darkest parts, like the hair, the jawline and the shadows on the neck, are built up with a Faber-Castell Pitt charcoal pencil. Blending stumps smooth the skin tones, and a kneaded eraser lifts out the highlights.
The video is sped up, so the whole portrait comes together in about ten minutes, with calm music and no talking. More pencil art in the sketchbook drawings.
