Fairy drawing in my sketchbook: a fairy with long purple hair, pink dragonfly wings and green leaves, drawn with a Bic ballpoint pen and colored with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils, finished with white highlights. Mixed media, sped up, calm music, no talking.

This fairy was drawn from imagination in my sketchbook. She has long, wavy purple hair, green eyes and a pink and purple dress, with two big pink dragonfly wings spreading out to the sides and a few long green leaves in the background, as if she were resting between the plants.
It is a mixed media drawing: the lines start with a simple Bic ballpoint pen, and everything is then colored with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. The hair is built up in many layers of violet and purple to show the curls, the wings get darker pink veins over a soft pink base, and the leaves mix several greens with a touch of yellow. At the end, a Derwent white pencil and a white Sakura Gelly Roll gel pen add the small highlights in the eyes, the hair and the wings.
The video is sped up, so you can see the whole drawing come together in under fifteen minutes. There is no voice-over, only calm music, so you can draw along in your own sketchbook or simply relax and watch.
