Ballpoint pen drawing of an old oil lantern, filling the rest of my sketchbook page with just one blue pen – from the loose first lines to the glass, the metal frame and the shading. Real-time drawing with calm music, no talking.

An old-fashioned oil lantern, the kind you would hang in a barn or carry on a camping trip: a curved wire handle, a glass globe held by crossed wire guards and a round fuel tank at the bottom. It fills the last empty part of the sketchbook page next to the two street lanterns from the previous video.
Everything is drawn with one classic blue ballpoint pen, so there is no eraser and no going back. The lantern starts with loose, light lines; then the glass gets its reflections, the metal frame its ridges, and layers of hatching build the shading on the tank and the cap.
The video follows the drawing with calm music and no talking. See how the page started in the street lantern drawing, or browse more sketchbook drawings.
