Halloween pencil drawing in my sketchbook: a skinny boy with a jack-o'-lantern face stands by a bare, twisted tree in front of a crooked haunted house, with a full moon, bats and a grinning pumpkin. Graphite pencils only, black and white. Sped up, calm music, no talking.

A Halloween night in my sketchbook: a skinny boy with a carved jack-o'-lantern face and a scarf stands next to a big, bare, twisted tree. Behind him a crooked haunted house leans to one side, with a curled roof, dark windows and two little lanterns by the door. A pale full moon hangs in the sky, bats fly around the roof and a grinning pumpkin waits in the corner.
Everything is drawn in black and white with Koh-I-Noor Toison d'Or graphite pencils, from the hard grades for the first light lines to the soft 5B for the dark bark, the boy's clothes and the pumpkin's face. A kneaded eraser lifts out the glow of the moon and the light spots on the house.
The video is sped up, so the whole drawing comes together in about five minutes, with calm music and no talking. It was drawn just a week after a little witch with pumpkins and bats in the same graphite style. More spooky art: the Halloween drawings.
