Live drawing session, part 2: adding linework and details to my surreal dream world inside a sphere – the stairway, the portal and the strange creatures around it – in pencil. Drawing from imagination with calm music, no talking.
This is the second part of a live sketchbook session: a surreal dream world inside a giant sphere. A stairway climbs up to a portal, with little domed houses, floating shapes and strange creatures with big round eyes around it.
In this part the loose sketch from part 1 turns into clear linework: the steps of the stairway, the rim of the portal and the faces of the creatures get their details, and the first pencil tones appear. Everything is drawn from imagination in a hardbound Canson sketchbook.
There is no voice-over, only the drawing process and calm music. Watch part 1 for the first lines and part 3 for the shading and the finished drawing.
