This is the first part of a live sketchbook session: a surreal dream world inside a giant sphere. A stairway winds upward between little domed houses, with floating shapes and strange details all around.
In this part the page starts empty. You see the first loose pencil lines that set up the sphere, the stairway and the houses, all drawn from imagination in a hardbound Canson sketchbook without a reference or a pre-drawn outline.
There is no voice-over, only the drawing process and calm music. Continue with part 2 for the linework and details, and part 3 for the shading and the finished drawing.
